ABOUT ME

With a strong love for playing and spreading music with others, I have been playing music since I was ten years old and have been teaching since 2016. Since then, I have taught dozens of people and have had students go on to win competitions and play with bands of their own. I am also an award-winning banjo player, having won first place in the advanced banjo division at the 2025 Weiser Idaho Banjo Contest. I have performed with numerous bands, including the Kevin Pace Band, Heart Break Pass, The 5-String Benders, The ETSU Celtic Band, and several others. I spent the last four years working on earning bachelor’s degrees in bluegrass music and business marketing. Now back in Spokane Valley, Washington, I’m excited to share my music with others!

Why Am I passionate about teaching?

I love to inspire people. When I started out learning how to play the banjo, what fueled my passion for music was the inspiration I felt from playing and watching other musicians. I want other people to feel that same way I did, and still do. I have been teaching others how to play the banjo for nine years, and I have loved every minute of it. It brings me immense joy to watch others progress and grow, and to see the same love for music burning in my students as it does for me. Helping them fuel and develop that passion and desire to play music is something that I am very passionate about.

What impact do I hope to make with My music? what results do I hope people achieve?

I want to inspire people to look at music, especially bluegrass music, and have the same love that I have for the music. I want to encourage them to engross themselves entirely in the music and learn to play what they love. Whether they want to have fun playing in their living room, jamming with friends, or touring professionally, I aim to meet them where they are in their musical journey and help them achieve their dreams.
